Welcome to the Beta Pi Chapter of Alpha Phi at USC!

Founded in 1872 by ten forward thinking women at Syracuse University, Alpha Phi International is now one of the oldest and largest women's fraternities in the world. The Beta Pi chapter here at the University of Southern California was founded in 1945. The sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast through 171 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members. Sisters share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to support one another and their communities. Alpha Phis are leaders, scholars, contributors and lifetime members of a sisterhood that values these traits.

SISTERHOOD

The sisterhood of Alpha Phi is based on unconditional support, love, and respect through life-long friendships. Alpha Phis encourage one another and hold each other accountable to be our best selves. We invite you to enjoy the benefits of a sincere sisterhood throughout college and in every stage of your life.

Scholarship

Alpha Phi empowers its members to succeed in every facet of life, especially academia. Together, Alpha Phis work towards intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, and women-led initiatives.

"We seek the highest ideal of womanhood, and we try to gain this ideal by cultivating...the power and passion for seeking intellectual development."
— Constitution of Alpha Phi International Fraternity

SERVICE

The commitment of our founders to foster a "spirit of love and charity" has stood the test of time and remains as important to Alpha Phi today as it was in 1872. Seeking to improve the lives of women, supporting our communities, and encouraging inclusive environments are basic tenants of our Fraternity.
